My motherboard is an MSI B250 GAMING M3 (link: http://) and when I start up in BIOS, there isn't an MSI Game Boost option visible in the top left corner as expected. What should appear there are the CPU and Motherboard temperatures. Please note that the BIOS is current and brand new.

GAME BOOST switch – click to toggle GAME BOOST for OC. It was an auto overclock mode. It seems it was deleted from a BIOS released on or before Dec 13 2016, as shown in the photo linked below.
From that source, it looks like you modify it using software in Windows. The majority of features are gone because the board isn’t intended for overclocking by design.
