so i recently purchased this case fan with white only lights, but sometimes it would turn on and other times it would shut off. it connects to the motherboard case fan, but when i start my pc the fan lights activate, yet after the bios screen loads and i enter windows, the fan lights automatically turn off (i don't know why). i've tried re-plugging the case fan into the mobo connector and adjusting the bios settings for the rgb fan, but it still happens.

Hello there! I recently purchased a case fan, so a photo of yours would be really helpful. Could you share the make and model of your motherboard, the BIOS version, the PSU details, and its age?

Can you show a photo of available connectors on the fan?
Also show, how you have connected/installed it.
(upload to imgur.com and post link)
Does it have only a single connector?
Or does it have fan connector and rgb connector?

Hi there, thank you for the friendly greeting. I'm using an AsRock A350 Pro4, with a 3-pin connector fan, my BIOS version is P.740, and the fan is a local brand called RX7, which also uses a 3-pin connector and Molex.

the fan features two connectors: a 3-pin and a Molex type, but it seems to lack an RGB connector since it only emits one color.

3pin fans are controlled by voltage levels. Increased voltage speeds up rotation. Lights may activate only when sufficient voltage is present; below a certain point they shut off. The motherboard might offer BIOS settings to adjust the fan curve. You can also link the fan directly to a molex connector (remove the 3pin connector first). In this case, the fan won't be regulated and will run at full speed continuously.

I also have other fans using Molex, but I noticed they aren't spinning at full speed. Before the BIOS loads, did the motherboard provide a higher voltage to the fan so the lights would turn on? I don’t believe there’s a specific fan curve for my BIOS.
