Hello, I recently upgraded to a new PC with a 3950x and 64GB RAM, but kept my old case (Cooler Master CM690 III). I’m considering getting a new air cooler and a fresh case—Dark Rock Pro 4 or MasterBox TD500 Mesh. The case specs mention a CPU clearance of 165mm and a DRP 4 height of 162.8mm, which seems acceptable. My concern is whether the case clearance starts from the motherboard. Could you confirm this? Thanks for your help!

It should work well. It will be quite close. Indeed, it comes from the motherboard.
