I’ve noticed a significant drop in my game performance, going from an average of 300 frames per second down to just 14. I’m running an MSI RTX 2060 Ventus GP OC graphics card, along with a Gigabyte X570 Gaming X motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor. My system has 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM (running in dual-channel), and I’m using a 144Hz monitor. I recently reinstalled Windows 10, updated all my drivers and BIOS to the latest versions, but I’m still experiencing FPS dips when playing games – even though my GPU and CPU aren't overheating. I’m hoping someone can offer some advice on how to resolve this issue.
When running a game without constrain windows task manager will lock up the supporting threads to run the main thread as fast as possible. No matter if you have enough hardware threads, it's how windows works.

If you’re experiencing performance problems, try reducing your frames per second – you can usually adjust this setting directly in the game’s options or within your graphics card settings.
