I'm using a Ryzen Threadripper 1950X with two GTX 1080 graphics running SLI, along with 32 GB of 2400mhz RAM. When playing Call of Duty at high settings in Warzone, I reach about 90 FPS by maxing out GPU 1 usage, but when I lower the settings to low, my GPU 1 utilization drops to around 60% while maintaining roughly 90 FPS. Shouldn't my GPU be using 100% if I keep lowering the settings and get more frames? I've updated my graphics drivers, refreshed Windows 10, reinstalled the game and its optimizations, and adjusted task manager priorities, but nothing seems to help. Additionally, I notice youtubers benchmarking with lower or comparable specs who are consistently achieving double my FPS. What could be going on?
Have you considered disabling features that restrict your frame rate? Such as removing the cap on FPS, disabling Vsync, or turning off Gsync.
Check if any CPU cores are operating at full capacity. Also question whether the slow RAM is contributing to the issue.
It seems like you're aiming for a smoother experience. Lowering the graphics settings will likely reduce GPU usage. I'm guessing you're using 1080p resolution? The slow RAM is definitely impacting performance.
No, none of the CPU cores reach 100% during the game. It might be the RAM problem.
