Check the control panel first to remove Chrome. It’s possible some registry entries or files remain. If that fails, did you upgrade to Windows 10 while preserving your files and apps? Then a fresh installation should resolve the problems.

@Huskie what's the reason for this? @deviant88 I tried it and it didn't change anything. I went through an upgrade, but I'm not ready to do a clean install since I don't want to lose my data.
