They divided Shorts and Livestreams into separate areas. Testing likely explains the variation across environments.
It seems like the YouTube interface is shifting in a way that removes options, and I'm trying to figure out how to regain control. I saw the "uploads" dropdown turning into buttons, which might help, but so far nothing's working. I attempted to add a parameter to see if it would force the change, but it didn't.
Yes, similar to all updates on YouTube, there are changes and you have no option. Still, I personally enjoy it. Videos, shorts, and live streams usually represent different content styles on most channels, so organizing them makes sense. With shorts now separate, they have their own interface, preventing thumbnails from being packed into a single horizontal frame like old YouTube videos transitioning between 4:3 and 16:9. On the other hand, I don’t watch shorts, and it could be frustrating to switch pages when viewing them.
It's quite confusing, isn't it? When I try to open 'shorts,' I see an error saying the video isn't available. Similarly, on 'live,' I sometimes notice there are no videos. Besides hiding videos in the main 'Videos' section, the areas where they're stored aren't functioning properly or are only accessible part of the time.
