I own a B550 MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI MOBO with Intel Wi-Fi and Bluetooth included. The Wi-Fi functions properly, but Bluetooth has been intermittent for about a week. It appears in Device Manager, yet Bluetooth disappears entirely. After uninstalling it from Device Manager and reinstalling drivers, the issue persists, leading me to suspect a hardware problem. I need to replace the module, and according to MSI’s website, it should be located in the M.2 (Key-E) slot. I’m having trouble locating that slot. Here is a photo for reference.
The e-Key is probably located next to the antenna terminals beneath the I/O Shroud. You’d need to take off the screws at the bottom of the motherboard to take down the I/O shroud. This board’s manual seems quite poor. It’s an Intel AX200/210 WiFi Module, one of the top options available. Simple Point – Bluetooth shares the same antenna ports as WiFi. Have you verified the antennas are securely fastened? Have you experimented with a different antenna? The motherboard includes “Rubber Ducky” antennas, which will likely be obstructed by your case. I faced problems with Bluetooth on my board until I elevated the antenna slightly above the case. Take off the I/O shroud and inspect the WiFi module; try unscrewing and reattaching it, remove and reinstall the antenna connectors, and if present, the USB connector. Be cautious when repositioning the SMA connectors—they can be delicate. The module might sit inside a compact metal enclosure behind the antenna pins. Usually, Bluetooth needs an extra link to the motherboard, and many setups rely on USB, which could explain why it’s not working. Have you attempted reinstalling the chipset drivers? A Google result also suggests that sometimes turning off the device, disconnecting the power cord for a few minutes, and then reconnecting might help. Other users recommend disabling WiFi in the BIOS, restarting, and then re-enabling it.
It's good to hear it's working again, but I think power-cycling or changing WiFi settings in the BIOS might have fixed the problem. It looks like a bug in this BIOS. You could also look for a newer BIOS version that addresses this issue. If it works, remember to note this as the solution!
