Hi, yesterday I was attempting to play valorant with a friend on my pc that recently got windows 11 installed. We encountered a vanguard error. When we viewed a tutorial about bios configuration for secure boot, I set key management to custom and disabled csm before making the change. After that, we were stuck in a bios loop. Once the key management was updated, the pc wouldn’t boot. The fans were lighting up, but other lights didn’t, not even when the system started. I cleaned the CMOS multiple times, unplugged it, removed the battery for five minutes, but nothing happened. I tried using a screwdriver on the cmos pins, but it still didn’t work. I also tried starting the pc without the battery several times, and despite all these attempts, no changes were visible when the pc turned on. I disconnected the gpu, tried using the mobo hdmi, used only one ram stick, tested other slots, removed all disks, but nothing seems to be working. I’m really struggling and feel stuck. Please help me, I’m not very confident in my english. Thank you all for your support.

When we viewed a tutorial about bios configuration for secure boot, I set key management to custom and disabled csm before making the change. After that, the system entered a bios loop and after the key management update, the pc wouldn’t boot. The fans were lighting up, but lights from other devices like the keyboard and mouse didn’t appear at all, not even when the pc started. I cleaned the CMOS multiple times, unplugged it, removed the battery for five minutes, but nothing happened. I tried using a screwdriver on the cmos pins, but it still didn’t work. I also tried starting the pc without the battery and plugging in different ram slots, disconnecting all disks, yet no changes were detected when the system turned on. I’m running out of options here.

Hope someone can assist me. English isn’t my first language, please forgive any mistakes or unclear words. Thank you all.

Hey there,
You'll need to clear the CMOS. This should likely resolve the problem. It's similar to resetting the BIOS. There should be a button on the motherboard for CLRTC—press it and try restarting. If there isn't one, you'll have to short out two pins on the motherboard labeled 'CLRTC'. Fingers crossed this will get things running again.

Working until the BIOS updates made it difficult to identify the issue, but adjustments in BIOS settings that prevent resetting seem effective. I've experienced similar situations after CSM and secure boot. The only known solution is disconnecting the GPU, which allows booting with built-in graphics, though the CPU lacks that capability.

See my previous message! I understand exactly what I'm discussing!
For simply removing the drive when it was formatted with GPT, it should work if it was MBR; he would see a black screen with a blinking _ in the upper left corner.
From what he mentioned, I have no idea what he did or what this refers to. "before doing the key management change"
EDIT: I'm not a DIY guy—I've been doing this longer than most of you here are, except the regulars.

Attempting to boot into BIOS to revert the changes you made. If this isn't possible, consider removing the video card and relying on the system's native graphics. This method hasn't always worked for me, but it resolved a similar issue before.
