Hi guys
I have an i5 3340s on a desktop with an ASRock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 board.
My issue is that when I overclock the CPU from 3.3 to 3.7 in BIOS, it shows the clock speed as 3.7, but when I run Windows in idle it stays at 3.7.
However, during games and stress tests, the CPU clock doesn’t exceed 3.3.
The CPU temperature is normal, maxing out at 60°C.
Thanks for your help!

3340s is a CPU that doesn't allow overclocking beyond certain limits. You can only maximize bclk and turbo core speeds. The maximum achievable is around 3.3GHz per core, but this requires using the multiplier for overclocking.

It worked on Intel's third generation CPUs and before—they tried to fix it through software updates.
From the fourth generation onward, it's restricted to hardware-only solutions.
