I made improvements to my PC recently. The BIOS now shows a green background with white text, and I was able to boot for a few minutes. After that, the screen turns green and Windows loads normally. I upgraded the GPU, processor, cooler, and case. My previous system had different BIOS settings, but it worked well then. I’m using Windows 10 Pro version 22H2, build 19045.3516. It seems the issue might be with the BIOS update or hardware changes—consider checking the BIOS version and ensuring all components are compatible. It’s not immediately clear if it’s safe to keep using it, so you might want to try restarting and see how it behaves.

F2 isn't that version before F62, right? The Gigabyte site mentioned the newest BIOS for that board is F64e NVM. I probably misread something about the update.

But what options do you have now? The newer CPU won’t support older BIOS versions, so flashing them isn’t possible. It might be due to a loose connection—like the GPU not properly attached—or a monitor problem. Since you can’t open the case right now, I recommend waiting until you can check yourself or ask someone else to do it. If the BIOS update didn’t go through correctly, you might still face the same issue and not boot at all. You’ve been using the PC for at least a week after the update with these old parts, so it’s worth investigating further.

I understand. It seems I misinterpreted more than I realized. Indeed, if the color appears distorted in Windows as well, it might be due to a new component. I’d likely begin by replacing the GPU and check if the issue resolves.

The colors look good once the windows load, and the green appears on this screen as well (the black is changed to green). Everything seems normal now.

I attempted to remove the GPU drivers using AMD's cleanup tool, which prompted me to enter safe mode. Once in safe mode, everything displayed a green tint rather than my actual screen. I discovered an image online that matched this issue, but my system remained affected even after logging in. After the cleanup process completed, I restarted and the green tint disappeared, restoring the display to normal. During the driver reinstallation, the green tint vanished around the halfway point. It seems my GPU might be installed in the incorrect PCIe slot, which could be causing the problem. The issue appears to happen when the drivers aren't active until I reach the login screen.

The green color might not look as expected due to changes in the BIOS after an update. Other possible issues include inconsistent behavior or unexpected performance changes. Just to clarify, many MSI boards do alter their color after updates, which can be confusing unless you're noticing more than just the color shift.

I also realized I missed mentioning another feature—there’s a way to reach the BIOS settings screen. I thought it wasn’t visible, but pressing the DEL key unlocks it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention; I’m a bit anxious since I’ve invested so much in upgrading my PC.

The X470 bios screen was supposed to look a certain way, but it currently appears different. After installing the update, I used the PC for over a week and checked the BIOS settings multiple times. The display seemed normal initially, but after adjusting one or two settings, everything worked again. No other issues have been noticed.

Doing the same problem with your GB drive and 7900XT, have you ever identified the reason?
