Hi everyone. I'm considering an upgrade for my Corsair H80i using the Be Quiet cooler. The reason is that during hot summer days it can get noisy. I wonder if it can handle 140mm fans. The official site mentions 135mm fans, but those aren't available on Newegg or Amazon. Even well-known brands, including Be Quiet itself...

From this review page:
https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/7444/q...ndex6.html
the Be Quiet performs reasonably. It might not be as quiet or fast as the Noctua NH-D15, but it should fit in my small case (Thermaltake Chaser A21). The Noctua is a bit too big for that setup, but the Be Quiet seems suitable. My GPU also needs more space, so I'm curious if swapping fans would help. The Noctua is supposed to be quieter and more efficient, but it's larger and might not fit.

This decision comes from personal interest rather than a need to save money. I just want a reliable, quiet system that works well.

Corsair's own site.

I wouldn't have gone that route, would have done it differently.

Also, it's almost as good as AC or Speech, like you mentioned.
https://www.noisehelp.com/noise-level-chart.html
They provide some guidance but aren't much help. The main factor is the heatsink plus better airflow inside the case. The exception is a soundproof case.
I also own a mid-tower with 5 (3 intakes, 2 exhausts) running 100% molex plus one heatsink. I've never experienced any noise issues while sleeping 6-7 feet away from the PC. To be honest, I can hear a fly spinning around me but I can...

Noise level: 37.68 dBA
If I had that in my system, I'd probably crash my head into the wall.
Noise level: 11.9 - 26.7 dbA
These levels are measured on a logarithmic scale. A peak of 26.7dB at the highest RPM indicates it's at least ten times quieter than 37.6dB. A minimum of 11.9dB at the lowest RPM suggests more than twenty times quieter.
Changing fans probably won't help much. Air pressure is also important—high CFM is mainly for case fans, not cooler fans.

Did you check Corsair's noise on Newegg? The Tweaktown's review seems more accurate—when the cooler is at full capacity, it produces a lot of sound, almost like someone talking very loudly. Would adding fans at the front or using a bigger case help then? I own a mid-tower setup.

Corsair's own site.
Forget criticizing the head design, I would have approached it differently.

Also, it's almost comparable to AC or similar sounds you mentioned.

They provide some guidance but are limited. The main factor is the heatsink plus increased airflow inside the case. An exception would be a soundproof case.
I also own a mid-tower with 5 (3 intakes, 2 exhausts) running 100% Molex + one heatsink. I've never experienced any noise issues while sleeping 6-7 feet away from the PC. In fact, I can hear a fly spinning around me but barely notice the fans. (60CFM/19dB case fans, 22dB cooler).
Additionally, I use closed-back headphones while gaming or watching. It definitely helps block out the sound.

the dark rock tf fan clip appears to be related to a particular silent wing fan model hole mounting.
