Hi, I just removed my backup to start fresh and saw some confusing info in Windows Backup. It says there are no system images on the drive, but above it shows a system image consuming 93GB. Disk properties display 447GB free, while Windows Backup lists 358GB of actual space—including hidden files. The backup also shows 390GB for other files, which is puzzling. I’m trying to recover my space before doing another backup and need some guidance. Thanks in advance.

I believe using tools such as Total Security 360 or CCleaner can effectively handle that task.

You tried a clean using CCleaner, but nothing changed on that drive. You mentioned the wiper feature, but it seems unlikely to affect free space detection since Windows identifies free space differently.

Have you attempted to turn on "displaying all hidden files (non-system and system ones)"? There could be hidden files generated.
