Specs: Ryzen 5 3400G Gigabyte B450I Aorus Pro Wi-Fi 32GB Trident Z RGB 3600 EVGA (RIP), RTX 2080 (bottlenecked to all hell I know lol), EVGA 650W G3 980 1TB SSD (the one without DRAM), Windows 11 (unactivated because I ain't paying Microsoft $120 for something fancy). My issue is that the BIOS keeps resetting RAM from an XMP profile to 2133MHz constantly. Usually I leave my PC folded while I'm away, and sometimes I don’t notice it right away, but this has happened so often I’m just confused. Nothing is overclocked, temperatures are low. I’m in my basement and it’s cold, so CPU temps above 65°C and GPU above 75°C are unusual—only during folding or when playing Halo Infinite. I just don’t want to keep messing with my BIOS all the time.

First, confirm the BIOS is up to date. Does XMP reinstall during a Windows reboot or after restarting? If it clears between starts, you may need to replace the CMOS battery.

I faced the same problem on the board too, with similar issues and posts that seemed almost identical. My setup was around 2400g or even 2600 with a GTX 1060. From what I've heard, Gigabyte's BIOS for these boards isn't reliable. You might try updating to check if they've resolved it, but I doubt it will work for me.

Upgrade your BIOS settings. If issues persist, inspect the interior for any interference with the reset CMOS connections. Also, confirm you chose to save changes upon exiting the BIOS interface.

When replacing the battery, you'd receive a notification each time your BIOS restarts and prompts you to enter it. Considering the B450 series boards are only three years old, it seems unlikely a battery change is required at this point.

No contact with the pins, it's in the newest BIOS, and sure I always press F10.

Really, I’m not sure when it stopped working—it might be something boards do, but C-R3.2 is the correct model and you usually find them in most shops.

Really frustrating. It would be great if EVGA produced more affordable boards, and I’d like to back them. Gigabyte is no longer appealing to me.
