We deal with a large volume of documents and photos on our server, and searching through Windows Explorer is slow. I tried WinCatalog recently because it gives instant results, but I noticed two issues: it doesn’t automatically update the index, which we need regularly, and it doesn’t support thumbnails for all image types like TIFFs. I’ve looked into similar tools, but most are focused on cataloging physical media such as CDs or DVDs. It seems there might be better options for quick server-based searches?
