The Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ microphone isn't showing up in Device Manager?
The image on Imgur displays the internet's magic, yet I'm uncertain about the meaning of a "line" since other sources refer to it as "line in."
Currently, the mic used is the one from your Logitech webcam. It could be useful to check if reinstalling the chipset drivers with the newest version in an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and running it as Administrator, resolves the issue.
Thanks. I might be able to locate something for my motherboard, but I’m assuming the microphone is quite old. The device functions properly. However, I have no certainty if "line" is correct or not. If I connect a stereo cable to the computer’s audio input, I don’t pick up any sound. The purpose is to capture audio when headphones are plugged in. Normally, most streaming programs handle this, but the microphone includes an audio playback function that sets the output level to match what’s heard through the speakers.
I have made some adjustments and restored the settings, but the name of the device didn’t reset properly. It seems like I’ve had a few issues before now. The unavailability is also fixed. The microphone is working fine, and I’m certain it’s in good condition. I don’t have any reason to connect it to the headphones line that goes from the mic to the motherboard. If anyone knows whether using a stereo cord is acceptable, I have a few left—green, black, and peach colors from an old 5.2 surround sound system. The cords are 3.5mm. I’m not sure if the three colored ones are interchangeable.
