My audio cuts out briefly across the whole system, whether playing games or watching YouTube. When using YouTube, it replays the missed 2-3 seconds and then restarts the video. I’m using my audio through Arctic headphones connected via USB dongle, which is plugged into the motherboard. All other devices are turned off. This issue began recently after upgrading my CPU, motherboard, and RAM. I didn’t have this problem on my previous system running an i5 8400.

Hello @Pancakeman, this reminds me of the USB issue with earlier Ryzen chips and boards. I recommend updating the chipset drivers from the motherboard maker's site. Updating those and the audio/device drivers might help too. Let me know if it resolves your problems. Feel free to ask more questions. Cheers! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

This might be due to a problem with the USB dongle itself. If only connected devices are affected, the dongle is likely the culprit. Otherwise, it could point to a chipset or driver issue I’m not aware of. Could you share the motherboard model and the USB dongle you’re using?

The adapter is included with SteelSeries Arctic 1's. It's becoming increasingly scarce, almost to the point where I barely see it anymore.

MSI has dropped a new BIOS update, along with Audio and Chipset drivers for Windows 11 and 10 this month and last. If you haven’t done it yet, it’s a good idea to install the latest BIOS promptly. Besides driver issues, once you’ve updated chipset and audio drivers, the only remaining step is to check your browser’s video codecs—reinstalling or fixing them might resolve the problem. I can only offer this level of assistance, so if you need further help, someone more experienced would be best. Wishing you luck! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

I'm glad to assist whenever possible. I'm sorry I wasn't able to help further... Perhaps the AMD/MSI communities might offer better support. I truly wish you can resolve this and resume using your system correctly. Please let me know when you find a solution so I can share it with others facing similar issues. Thank you! (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ

It seems you've already got the latest BIOS installed. The driver update has introduced a new issue where launching Warlord triggers random BSODs with error codes like system thread exception, not handled, kernel mode heap corruption, and kernel security check failure. On the MSI site, only the newest drivers are listed, leaving no older versions to revert to. I bet you'll have to wait for better updates to play games smoothly.

If the chipset drivers are causing issues, you can locate previous versions in TechPowerUp's Driver Database by choosing the driver that matches your Windows version. Hope this assists! Cheers! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
