I possess a ROG STRIX B650E-I gaming Wi-Fi motherboard equipped with Kanto speakers linked to the optical audio output. Occasionally, the board halts sound without warning. The Realtek driver appears current, Device Manager confirms proper functionality, and Windows Event Viewer doesn’t reveal the cause of the intermittent failure. A simple reboot usually resolves it, though this isn’t always the case. I already have an RMA number with Asus, but before dismantling my Micro ITX build, I’d like to investigate whether a Windows 11 configuration or BIOS setting is responsible. Hopefully, someone here can offer guidance on this issue.
