I assembled my own system (https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/Dz7Xt3). I didn’t find a case, but it lacks fans. I purchased the monitor for $67 USD and switched it over from my old one. Now only the LG ULTRAGEAR (NVIDIA HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO) is working as an output device. My headphones and microphone aren’t showing up. I can use the audio port on the back, but there’s just one port—my mic won’t connect. Also, connecting a second 1080p 60Hz monitor isn’t possible since it shows no HDMI input or similar.

It seems the monitor lacks a built-in speaker. Based on my observations, most high-end monitors don’t include one. My computer recognizes the monitor as an output source, though I suspect it might only play through the headphone jack if activated.

The issue isn't the absence of a speaker, but your headset isn't being identified as an output source.
