I'm attempting to convert MP4 files to a disc, but the bluray drive I own doesn't recognize it. The device just displays nothing when inserted on any of my devices—Windows 11 desktop, Windows laptop, and Ubuntu desktop. I have the Blu-ray drive listed here:

What burning software are you using?
Or, otherwise, what procedure are you using?

I believe the burning software isn't the issue but I tested K3b on Linux, AnyBurn on Windows, and the built-in burning tool on Windows. The drive also appeared blank in Windows File Explorer.

What USB ports are present on your desktop? Are any of them built to supply increased power to connected devices? Does the device at least support playing a pre-recorded disc and have sufficient power for that task? You may need to use a self-powered USB hub if none of your existing ports can meet the burner's power needs, such as the one listed here.

The drive includes a USB cable that splits into two Type-A ports; one is solely for power, based on its thickness. I've experimented with using multiple ports on my PC and powering it from a 2.4A USB charger, but I'm still unsure if it works with regular Blurays. I don't have any on me yet, but I plan to get some tomorrow. I'll update once I find out.

If there's a Redbox nearby you could use one of its blurays or even dvds to try and see if playback works. It appears that clearly power is not a problem.

I don't have Blurays, they're just at my dad's place. I took a risk and got a new drive from LG, and the Blurays work perfectly now. Maybe Asus's quality isn't the best.
