Asus TUF Gaming B550 Plus failed to boot yesterday. It was previously running smoothly with an NVMe drive and Windows installed. After removing the NVMe, it stopped working entirely. I tried installing Ubuntu on another SSD but the issue persisted once the NVMe was gone. Connecting via PSU only shows lights without any response—pressing buttons or using tools doesn’t get it started. Everything else except the CPU was removed, which made it easier to handle. I downloaded the latest TUF-GAMING-B550-PLUS bios driver from ASUS and flashed it, but that didn’t resolve the problem. It’s possible the issue lies with the PSU or CPU, though the CPU is hard to remove. I also attempted formatting a USB stick on an Ubuntu machine, but the green power light stopped working after a few minutes while both lights stayed on. I suspect the motherboard might have issues, but I’m unsure if it’s the power pins, PSU, CPU, or BIOS. I’ve reviewed many solutions online, but I need clarity on which part is faulty. Please advise how to confirm the problem. Thank you. https://imgur.com/a/0pCuh0v

It seems the CMOS battery is essential for the device to function properly. It's unclear whether it was removed before or after the issue arose.

I attempted both options. I plan to test another battery as well; I believe the battery isn't the issue, but I'll check again in two hours using a different one. Until then, I'm continuing with the current setup.
