I just completed assembling my first computer and noticed the motherboard displaying a static orange light when powering it on. I’m not sure what it means or if something went wrong. Your computer needs a GPU to function properly. The R5 5500 doesn’t come with built-in graphics.

The orange/yellow LED in the PCI-E X16 port is either an indicator showing no GPU connected or a visual effect, like the one found on premium ASUS boards. My previous ASUS X99 Deluxe II featured this as a decorative RGB feature. The light strip at the bottom left serves to highlight the audio section of the motherboard, helping distinguish it from other components. This setting can be activated or disabled through the BIOS.

Did updating the GPU resolve the issue? The power button doesn’t respond and the light stays on. I have a Ryzen 5 5500 and just installed the latest BIOS. All components are present, and this is my first build—uncertain if something went wrong.
