Hello, I attempted to lower the BIOS on my laptops, but it functions properly. Still, during startup I receive the alert: "Your pc needs to be restarted to finish setting up this device: System firmware," and after restarting the BIOS reverts to my existing version.
Windows is updating its firmware on your laptop, which means you need to turn off Windows Update...but it should eventually complete the BIOS upgrade.
Reducing the BIOS to an older version may not include support for certain hardware, bug fixes, essential security patches, or the newest board revision for your laptop.
