Hello, I'm using an ASUS H87-PRO with the latest BIOS (version 2104). Despite updating it, I still can't boot with the i7-4790 processor. It works perfectly with the i5-4570 but not here. The manufacturer claims compatibility with i7-4790 only if the BIOS is newer than version 1105. This situation has happened before with both H87-PRO and H87-PLUS models. Could someone assist me in resolving this issue? Thanks ahead.

I believe ASUS doesn't embed CPU micro-code for the i7-4790 in the BIOS file. This suggests a possible issue with the BIOS updater. I tested the i7-4790 using H97 PRO and confirmed it works perfectly. It's really frustrating dealing with ASUS support.

I understand this problem completely. I spent a lot of time trying to solve it and now you won’t have to. The issue lies in the BIOS update tool not applying the changes properly—use the Windows-based update method instead.
