Chassis fans operate on a steady 100% PWM signal via the fourth pin, meaning voltage control is restricted and likely won’t drop below around 40%. If they’re idle, you should be able to switch them off. You can verify this setting in AI Suite 3, at least.

Chassis fans operate on a steady 100% PWM signal via the fourth pin, meaning voltage control is restricted and likely won’t drop below around 40%. If they’re idle, you should be able to switch them off. You can verify this setting in AI Suite 3, at least.

I use the Swiftech fan hub for my chassis fan (comes with H220X). It receives power via SATA and connects to a 4-pin interface. Could it be adjusted or managed in some way?

You must keep the CPU fan at least 20%, while the chassis fans require a minimum of 40% PWM speed.

Install a 5.25 fan controller on the bottom fan bracket of my H440. It's quite basic, but it works well.
