Hi there, I see you're dealing with a persistent reboot issue on your Asus Chromebook C423na. Since you can't access the OS and can't boot normally, you might try using a recovery USB drive to perform a clean install. Make sure to back up any important data first. If you need more specific steps for creating or using a recovery image, let me know!

I did some quick research and found this helpful article: https://www.howtogeek.com/190645/how-to-...wont-boot/ HowToGeek is a valuable source, and I’ve relied on their tips successfully.

Thank you for your message. Here’s a revised version of your text:

The response provided doesn’t seem to address the issue effectively. I’ve attempted to refresh using the power button, but it doesn’t resolve the problem—just restarts and loops back. Pressing the power button clears the loop temporarily, but the Brigg reset menu remains unresponsive. Even after multiple attempts, hitting the reset option doesn’t stop the cycle. The recovery USB I created also fails to help; it follows its standard procedure without resolving the issue. No one else seems to have encountered this same problem. Any suggestions?

Also just to confirm, I went through the hard reset instructions and removed the battery. Still nothing happened. I managed to load the recovery screen every time—pressing escape, refresh, then power—but never reached the reset menu (just refresh and power). I even tried booting into the reset menu from the recovery screen, but it kept looping back to the reboot cycle. This really reinforced my frustration with these tightly controlled hardware designs; if this were a standard laptop, it wouldn’t be such a problem.
