The ASRock X670E PG Lightning runs very reliably. Simply turning off the machine doesn’t stop it—just a clean reboot restores everything normally. My firmware is current, I haven’t overclocked, and I haven’t modified any ACPI settings in UEFI. Pressing the power button inside UEFI triggers a restart. When pairing hardware, I use the Ryzen 9 7900, Corsair Vengeance CMK32GX5M2X7200C34, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio, and Seasonic Prime TX-850. To force a shutdown, I enter UEFI and hold the power button for five seconds. This method works, though it feels a bit cumbersome.

According to @Levent, connect the power button or plug in the motherboard. Also, try enabling auto memory and using auto speeds. If this resolves the issue, your RAM might be unstable and you may need to adjust the memory controller voltage manually.

The PWR header removal didn't resolve the issue. I'm wondering if there might be a short circuit involved. I'll test the RAM speed next. Just a reminder, it's not overclocked—just using the standard XMP profile from UEFI. I've selected it and left the rest unchanged. Thanks for your prompt replies so far!

Firmware is current at version 1.28. The memory has been set to auto mode again, which is now running at 4800MT/s, but the issue continues.

Did you verify your BIOS configurations for wake-up options such as Wake From Keyboard or Wake From Mouse? Also, look into Windows settings that can bring the computer back from sleep or hibernation. Consider turning off Fastboot, as it often causes more problems than performance gains. Enjoy your day!

I turned off all wake-up features I could locate. Fast Boot remains inactive, yet it still restarts. This issue seems to be related to the startup process.

After receiving the reply from official ASRock support, I realized the issue might be with my 10Gb network adapter from Uptimed. I hadn’t mentioned it, thinking it was safe. Removing the card still caused the system to shut down properly but left me without a network card and only the 2.5Gb adapter. It seems this could be a temporary fix until I figure out the real problem. Trying to fit the card in another slot didn’t resolve the issue.
