The ASRock X570 Taichi with the Ryzen 1600AF doesn't detect your RAM.
Hey there. I'm trying to figure out what to do next. I just got the Asrock X570 Taichi and a Ryzen 1600AF, but it won't boot with my Corsair Vengeance 3200 CL16. I'm holding off on the Ryzen 5900X until it's released. When the board arrived, I updated the BIOS to version 3.40 (AEGESA 1.0.8.0). That worked, but the PC still shows error codes like "5" and then restarts after a few seconds. I took it to a local repair shop, who suggested checking the RAM first and then downgrading the BIOS to the latest version. They mentioned that Corsair only supports up to 3000 MHz, which is why I haven’t had any RAM issues before. They also recommended getting a GSKILL 3600 to prepare for the Ryzen 9 5900X. Now I can't even get started. I might need to buy new RAM, use it temporarily, and then sell it later. I checked myself and the Pinnacle Ridge (which is part of the 1600AF) can technically run at 3200 MHz with AMD Ryzen CPUs. But I'm not sure what the best path is now. Any advice would be appreciated!
I tested pressing the clear CMOS button for around five seconds on the motherboard while the PSU was connected and disconnected. It seems removing the battery might be necessary.
Avoid removing the battery. Maintain the button press for a longer duration (refer to manual). Are RAM slots 2 and 4 available?
