Both options are excellent selections for the i9-9900K. The VRM performs better, helping maintain cooler temperatures, and includes extra board capabilities. Yes both are solid boards. I assume you already have the 9900K ? If so then no point spending more than you have to on the board. Even the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite would be fine with that cpu. Otherwise I would just go with the cheaper of the two (Ultra).
