The Anker 737 power bank is malfunctioning and won't activate.
Experienced a power disruption recently. I link my XPS 15 9520 laptop to two external displays—a 32" 4K monitor and a 24" 1920x1200 monitor—and connect them to a cyber power UPS with a failing battery. If the UPS powers down or goes out, everything disconnects. My laptop remains on but the screen stays black; I must detach each monitor cable individually for it to display. I then plugged my Anker 737 powerbank into the laptop, which exhibited slow charging similar to other powerbanks I’ve used. I also used a Dell PW 7018LC USB-C powerbank, which displayed the low-battery warning. When the Dell powerbank depleted, I switched to the Anker, which still had over 40% charge remaining and lasted about 35 minutes. Later, the Anker stopped charging entirely, showing no display and no power draw. It had more than 30% charge at the time. Eventually, I tried charging it to a wall outlet but it failed entirely and the display button remained inactive. I checked the warranty—should it be covered? I only used it a few times, not continuously. The screen never turned on, and even after charging to the wall, no response was detected. Could anyone confirm if this Anker powerbank behavior is typical?
Checked their site, seems the smallest option is 18 months. Powerbank fits within that range. Anker has been reliable for me, though I had a faulty cable once. They responded quickly and fixed it without issues. Overall, it’s a good idea to contact them.
