Only increasing output requires overclocking and overvoltage. The specified performance gains correspond to real P-states, aligning with the 95W thermal target.

Not always – it depends on the configuration. 95W refers to running at normal speeds and voltage, while the stock rating is higher than needed for its rated speed. A 1.40V supply matches the stock voltage but works just fine between 1.32-1.35V at normal speed; boosting adds a small change only temporarily as the board handles it. Turning boosting off means it runs only at stock levels, while leaving it on "Auto" lets the board manage voltage automatically. Disabling boosting keeps the setting you choose, and raising speeds beyond specs will increase power use, affecting all chips similarly.

Focus mainly on the 8300. The next top option is the 8320(E), though I used the 8370E. The 8300 was my top choice for clocking in LN2. Also tried running CSS at 7ghz; unclear why, but lower frequency settings worked better.

Based on my observations, the 95W chips performed slightly lower on Ln2 compared to the 125W chips, yet they matched the performance of the 9 series FX chips for overclocking. I’ll send you the link to some of my results so you can see who you’re working with.
