I bought a Dell G5 SE with a Ryzen 5 4600h and an RX 5600m card. For the last few days, this specific driver (version 20.18.06.6002) keeps installing itself automatically. I am avoiding it because I've had crashes and BSOD errors when playing games. If I uninstall that version first, reboot, install a newer one, and then turn my computer off and on again, everything works fine right away. But the old driver starts showing up again after just one restart. I don't know much about how AMD drivers work, so please help me figure this out.

What if you try removing those driver files using ddu before restarting? Then you can just reinstall them right after.

Everyone does the same thing, whether you use an AMD card or another brand; most likely it's just Dell software running on your laptop. Did you clean up your system and reinstall Windows? Or are you still keeping that junk software from other programs installed?

I didn't change the Windows settings. Do I need to reset everything and save all my stuff? My games, programs, and files are here now but I can't move them since there is no other drive like an SSD or HDD available.

Simply try removing all the Dell programs before anything else.

What if we try taking out the old drivers first using ddup, and then put them back up?

I got a working patch from AMD's site and I am really thankful for all of your help out there.
