For the AM4 Wraith Stealth/Spire coolers, take out the two black plastic strips from the motherboard if you've already taken them off. Keep the backplate on the opposite side of the board to attach it properly.

It shouldn't be an issue—the Noctua model fits the factory backplate. The plastic spacers are designed for Intel or AMD systems.

the backplate remains intact, which is why the holes have threaded posts (they connect to the backplate)
