I chose to use both graphics cards together with AMD's catalyst control center. Later I found updated drivers and tried to replace them, but forgot to remove the existing ones. After fixing the mistake I deleted all AMD-related drivers and folders with a cleaner, then reinstalled them via the installer. Still nothing happened—no drivers appeared, Catalyst wasn’t installed, and the folder just mirrored what I had before. In Device Manager the card shows up as 'Standard VGA graphics adapter.' I can add drivers manually, but I still need Catalyst for features like Crossfire and Eyefinity. Thanks for any advice. P.S. I’m running 64-bit Windows 7.

Had the sameish problem, Heres how i fixed it... Uninstall drivers.... Run driversweeper (select ATI) and clean... reboot... browse to folder C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies and delete the contents... Install latest drivers... should now work.

I can set drivers manually, but installing Catalyst is tricky—it just copies itself to the destination folder. There’s no direct way to install Catalyst alone; you only see the Catalyst installer and the HDMI audio driver. It seems the installer doesn’t recognize my GPU.
