Extra RAM has been added correctly for the ASUS Pro WS WX80E-Sage (8 channels) with 4×128GB modules. The manual didn’t mention which slots to use, but I followed the instructions. I installed two modules on opposite sides and placed them on CPU Z. The readings after installation look normal. Updated September 27, 2022 by LinasK
I received the identical board, and it’s always cool to find someone else notices that plain green PCB RAM functions just like RGB RAM lol
My setup involves real neon tubes, so I can't discuss power consumption.
The system rebooted after the update and then crashed after about 20-30 minutes using Monker Solver. I reduced threads from 60 to 30 but the issue persists. Installed drivers in C, D, and H/G slops; it seems to work now. Heavy applications are causing crashes. CPUz suggests checking if A B G H or A B C D is correct.
issues with the Mem86 test still display ECC errors in one RAM cell, though they disappeared after a recheck. Changed RAM positions, ran the Mem86 test again, and observed no consistent errors, only occasional ECC issues.
I plan to reach out to the seller. Lowering the RAM speed from 3200 to 3000 seems reasonable.
