Hello, I’ve been experiencing this issue for some time now and honestly, I've exhausted all possible solutions.
I frequently play Planetside 2, yet when I’m within the game, other applications experience difficulties operating properly. Discord voice communication becomes unstable and frequently takes a considerable amount of time to activate push-to-talk, sometimes requiring several seconds. Recordings made with Shadowplay while playing Planetside 2 result in jerky and discontinuous footage. Furthermore, even background YouTube videos within Chrome will intermittently pause and resume without any logical explanation.
This behavior isn’t observed in other games – I strongly suspect that Planetside 2's demanding nature on the processor is the root cause. I’ve attempted adjusting Discord and Planetside 2 priority levels, as well as setting the game to a lower priority, but these efforts were unsuccessful. I even created a batch file to maintain those priority settings, yet the problem persisted.
I possess an i5 4690k processor running at an overclock of 4.2 GHz and a 1060 with 6GB of VRAM, which should be sufficient to handle all running processes. In fact, my friends with less powerful systems are unaffected by this issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated; thank you!

Having experienced this firsthand as someone with a quad-core processor (3570K), I can attest that our processors struggle to keep up with the game’s intense battles. Therefore, you should consider acquiring an i7 (4 cores/8 threads) compatible with your existing motherboard, or alternatively, upgrade to a system featuring at least six cores.

Please revise your previous message and incorporate complete details about your computer’s hardware configuration, including the operating system.

Specifically, provide:

RAM?
Details about your power supply unit (PSU): brand, model number, wattage, age, and its physical condition.
Disk drives: manufacturer, model name, storage capacity—and indicate how much free space remains on your primary drives.

Furthermore, monitor your computer’s performance using Task Manager and Resource Monitor, running them sequentially, first without any gaming activity, then while actively playing games.

Finally, describe the contents of that .bat file you created. Exercise caution when dealing with such files and avoid modifying the Registry.

Having experienced this as someone with a quad-core processor (3570K), I can confirm that our processors struggle to manage the game’s intense battles effectively. Therefore, you should consider an i7 (4 cores/8 threads) for compatibility with your existing motherboard, or alternatively, upgrade to at least a 6-core processor.
