I've experimented with fan curves recently... I prefer quiet operation but also want stable idle performance. Usually it idled around 48°C, which seemed unusual but I'm aware they tend to run hot. After tweaking the curves slightly, it's now between 51-52°C. That should be reasonable. IMAGE 1 shows my AIO fans curve after adjusting for quiet operation—my AIO is positioned at the front of the case, exhausting at about 80% and fully at around 80°C. IMAGE 2 highlights that the lower fan curves aren't crucial, though they're present. There are three Arctic P140s intaking fans, connected to a P12 exhaust at the rear. The curve here seems based on GPU temperatures. IMAGE 3 displays side-facing intake fans like the 120mm Lian Li SL-INF, possibly indicating these curves might be too low. I'd appreciate your feedback. Currently I'm considering adding three more 140s at the front, moving the AIO to the side and adjusting intake direction with my existing six 120mm fans. My goal is to see if this setup works well. Hopefully, it's acceptable, and I can suggest further tweaks if needed. Right now, my rig runs on a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 5070Ti, DDR5-6400, with AORUS WATERFORCE II 360—seems like that's the main factor.

It seems you're expressing frustration about the noise levels. You mention your 52c is typical for a 9800X3D even when idle, but it varies with room temperature. Your current room temp drops to around 14-17°C at night when you leave the PC on. You prefer quiet operation and find the fan settings too loud for your taste.

I agree with what @Hinjima said about those curves. With that kind of chip and an AIO setup, you can maintain a nearly flat temperature range up to 80-85°C without issues. I actually run this on air-cooled boards at 30-40% PWM all the way to 85°C. Past 89°C (the 7800x3D throttle point) they spike to 100%, though that only occurs under extreme load and isn't typical.

It's really typical, particularly with those fancurves.
