You're experiencing issues with your 5GHz Wi-Fi adapter (Archer T2U) not connecting properly. The 5GHz network is down or unreliable, but your router should support it. Check the adapter settings, ensure it's powered on, and verify your router's firmware. If the problem persists, try restarting both devices or contacting your ISP for further assistance.

Is the router currently transmitting on the 5GHz band? Do you have a compatible driver for this adapter? Have you attempted to install or reinstall it? Have you tested the NIC on another machine?

You can still connect to a 5GHz network from other gadgets, but the installation didn’t complete. Try reinstalling the driver or checking your device settings.

Using 5GHz networks has brought up challenges with TP link NICs not tuning into the higher channels your router is broadcasting (often 140+). Could a forced driver update from Microsoft have triggered this issue? Try using a lower 5GHz channel to see if the network card can detect it. If it works, the problem likely lies in the driver. Do you know how to manually install drivers through Device Manager? I’d recommend using the TP link drivers and forcing their installation, rather than letting Windows handle it. You’ve already switched to an Intel-based wireless NIC and haven’t revisited this since.
