You're considering moving up to the 5800X3D but face budget constraints. The new chip might become harder to find once its successors hit the market, as they’re already being sold. It would be a solid upgrade given your current RAM and motherboard setup. I don’t have an official timeline, but you might want to check the latest announcements from Intel for production updates.

AMD seems uncertain about the situation, but following Intel's pattern it might be around three generation cycles. The 11th generation appears to have been released, and the 12th is nearing completion. With the 14th generation not available, I estimate three generations in total.

It seems they're still gathering details about the 5700X3D and 5500X3D. Although it's the final AM4 model, it isn't considered fully retired just yet.

In the worst situation, you can purchase a used item from the second-hand market. A pre-owned CPU performs almost as well as a brand-new one in most cases.

There are whispers about upcoming versions of 5500X3D and 5700X3D. If this is the move to 5800X and 5700X, the newer 5700X3D probably will swap the older model, offering 99% performance at 85% of the cost. There should be many available on the used market since 3D chips have proven very popular. Without AMD wouldn't have developed them for the next generation.

AMD should keep making 5800X3D because it generates so much revenue. It also suggests the product won’t drop in price soon.

I have no doubt that AM4 processors will remain in use for a long time.

They frequently fail at 5800x3d, so once it stops, I’d keep it for about a year before replacing it. Usually until a better second generation model arrives on the AM5.

Jan 31st launch of 5700X3D at $249 is confirmed according to recent updates. It looks like the second-generation models will match the current pricing of the 5600/5800X3D, making AM4 largely unnecessary except in very tight budget scenarios.

Absolutely none of this happens. You can get brand-new, sealed Athlon 64 chips from 2006, and the same applies to AM4 for a long time.
