Installed my latest motherboard and 5600x. The 6700k worked well with 3600mhz CAS 18 ram. When I enable DOCP, the board enters safe mode after several boot tries. I just updated the BIOS. What’s happening? The 5600x should handle it easily. ROG Strix B550-f KLEVV BOLT 16gb CAS 18 3600mhz

Verify operation at 3200, then proceed to 3600 with 1.1v on the voltage level.

When you choose 3200, the DOCP profile is activated first.

Activate the device first, then set it to 3200. If it boots at 3200 but not at 3600, adjust the SOC voltage to 1.1V and it should start working.

The system started at 3200Mhz, but there seems to be a discrepancy. Users often exceed 4000Mhz on the 5600x, suggesting something might be incorrect.

adjusted the SOC voltage to 1.1-1.125V for startup at 3600Hz on certain chips. Also, some devices don’t boot reliably at 4000V, even though it was mentioned earlier.

I'm just starting out with OCing CPUs. I thought a 3600MHz clock speed would be manageable on Zen 3 with simple DOCP tweaks. I've seen some BIOS updates that limit speeds to around 3200MHz, so I'm curious if boosting the clock fully is safe.

I'm just starting out with OCing CPUs. I thought a 3600MHz clock speed would be manageable on Zen 3 with simple DOCP tweaks. I've seen some BIOS updates that limit speeds to around 3200MHz, so I'm curious if boosting the clock fully is safe.

I identified the problem clearly: You must calculate your bootable and WHEA error-free SOC/IF voltages individually. Start by setting the IF to 2133, then gradually adjust the IF until issues arise. Next, fine-tune the SOC voltage first, and only then modify the VDDG voltages if necessary. The default Zen 3 SOC estimates appear incorrect, likely needing a BIOS fix, but manual adjustments can resolve it.

It prefers a specific voltage range, but will fail to boot or trigger WHEA errors if you exceed it for the intended frequency. 1.1 would cause no boot at 1600, WHEA errors at 1800, but was necessary at 1866 IFs. Refer to the linked post above "Starting high and working backwards" since using voltages here is uncertain with this configuration. Begin at 1600 IF and increase by one notch at a time.

Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure if a CPU issue was the cause, but I wanted to check other possibilities. The symptoms might be more common than I thought. I'll try some adjustments and see if it helps.
