The 3200Mhz RAM fails to operate above 2400Mhz.
The 3200Mhz RAM fails to operate above 2400Mhz.
You're facing an issue where your RAM only operates at 2400MHz despite being installed in higher timings slots (A2/B2). The BIOS settings don’t override the chip’s default speed, and changing voltages or timings hasn’t resolved the problem. Consider checking the RAM modules for proper installation, ensuring they’re seated correctly, and verifying that the motherboard supports 3200MHz for those slots. If the problem persists, contact AsRock support or consult a professional for further diagnostics.
I notice modules timed at 16/18/18, yet not 16/16/16. I’d attempt to set 16/18/18/2T/3200/1.35V and check if it functions. If successful, try adjusting to 16/18/18/1T/3200/1.35V.
16/18/18/2T/3200/1.35V doesn't work, I'm testing 16/18/18/1T/3200/1.35v instead. Both attempts failed.
Do you believe the difference between 2933 and 3200 is significant? It seems Ryzen appreciates it, which is why I opted for higher-end "3200MHz" RAM.
Ryzen prioritizes RAM speed above all else. If performance isn't met, the system won't function. The 3000 series offers superior memory controllers reaching up to 3600 MHz, whereas the 2000 series falls short in this regard.
