The 3070 does not display properly in ultra-wide mode.
I shared this earlier but only received a single comment that didn’t assist. The main point is that my Zotac 3070 Twin Edge has been functioning well for years. Recently, after leaving it on for some time, I noticed the ultra-wide monitor only displayed 1920x1080 or lower resolutions. I’ve tested various fixes—switching OS versions, checking settings, updating drivers, rebooting, power cycling, and even using different cables—but none resolved the issue. I suspect a GPU problem since the displayport cable is prone to disconnection. A monitor with a different aspect ratio (1680x1050) still renders correctly. Could you offer any advice?
It's a strange thing when you upgraded—did you run DDU in safe mode? Before this helped me, I struggled with transferring between drivers. Just a thought until the smart folks fixed it. DDU
I owned a Zotac 3060Ti upon its launch. After a year, I faced several problems: screen disconnections, random artifacts, declining performance, and eventually the device stopped working entirely. Initially, I assumed it was my monitor, but later I realized it was the motherboard. I borrowed another NVIDIA GPU, which confirmed the issue was with the card. Many users reported vRAM problems on Zotac devices due to inadequate cooling—eventually I returned it and received a full refund thanks to its warranty. Lesson learned: now I prefer cards with better cooling and multiple fans, such as the 7800 TUF.
