Hello community, my 24 pin connector has two black stains on different connectors. When I touch it, it doesn’t feel melted, but maybe it is. I found out today while doing a deep clean of my PC. I always make sure all cables are securely connected and not loose. PD: my GPU and CPU connections look similar. However, I only have a photo of the 24 pin connector. The third connector has dust and isn’t melted or damaged, but the other two I’m unsure about—when I touch them it feels solid and healthy. My PC parts are: CPU Ryzen 7 7700X, motherboard TUF X670E Plus, RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5600MHz (16GB x2 = 32GB total), storage Gigabyte AORUS M.2 Gen 4 PSU, GPU RX 6800X Phantom Gaming.

Was etwas im Stecker vorhanden? Hast du es mit Alkohol gereinigt? Meiner Meinung nach ist es wahrscheinlich, dass der Fehler beim Herstellungsprozess des Steckers entstanden ist.

I used a brush with isopropyl alcohol, but it didn’t clean properly. I’m not sure if it was there before. I hope it doesn’t melt anything. My cables are fully connected—I’m pretty sure they’re working fine.

I haven't physically inspected the motherboard yet. But based on your question, it seems you're curious about the internal components and any visible details around the connectors. Let me know if you'd like more information!

I searched for something inside the 24-pin connector and everything looked fine. I checked the other side of the cable that connects to the power supply, which was clean with no discoloration. The same applies to the CPU and GPU connectors; they appear undamaged from the inside.

It seems the issue originated from the connector mold production phase. I don't need to be concerned about it.

They employ black sharpie pen for testing PSU units in the manufacturing facility.

I’m sure your feedback is accurate. My computer is fully connected, and I’m using it to draft this subject. I’m trying not to stress too much. Thanks to both of you. (Of course, the cables come with the PSU)

This indicates the cable met quality standards. The marking is on the connector side where it's hidden after insertion. No concerns here—it's perfectly fine.

Do you have cotton swabs that can be soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean the connector over those black marks? A brush might not be sufficient here.
