I applied a gentle push to secure it while keeping it on the motherboard, though it didn’t fully engage. Everything functions properly, but I only noticed this recently. I haven’t unplugged it for a month since assembling my PC.

Ensure the clip secures firmly and stays in position.

Use both connector sections and reattach them properly—ensure the 4-pin section slides in and locks with the 24-pin section for tighter alignment. When you place the full connector, leave a few fingers between the case and the 24-pin header on the motherboard. This prevents bending when you press the connector into the header. Honestly, the board should function well even without the 4-pin addition; it only adds extra wires for the 3.3V, 5V, and 12V lines.

I also had that PSU and faced the same problem. For me, connecting the 4-pin first was much simpler, then the 20-pin. Also double-check that you install it correctly—on the board it should indicate the correct orientation for the clip.

It's acceptable if it doesn't fully align yet; the PC can still start and function properly for a month. The issue might be with the 20-pin connector not fitting properly.

This. It doesn't look like it's properly aligned, thats why it doesn't go in all the way, most likely. No i don't think this is ok, it might work for now but its not safe (it may arch/short anytime or never, but its definitely not securely locked as it should be)

You might worry about the pin coming loose. It’s best to remove the connector from the motherboard, reposition the pin carefully, and then secure it again.
