The 18-pin power cable appears partially attached to the power source, yet remains fixed in position.
While assembling the new PC, I connected the required cables to my modular power supply. Among the four cables, the 18-pin connector didn’t click properly when inserted. Compared to the others, it wasn’t secured correctly—appearing off-center—and it remained in place despite my efforts. I couldn’t push it further or remove it from the socket. Even with firm pressure, it stayed stuck. I’m unsure if this will work as-is or if adjustments are needed. Would using more force help, or should I try a different approach? Thanks ahead.
18pin? There is no 18pin... do you mean the 24pin? If you're getting power from it it's fine. But I do recommend taking it out and reseating.
On the motherboard it has 24 pins, while the PSU side splits into an 18-pin and a 10-pin connector. I’m considering trying to reinsert it, but that’s not my issue—I might just have to install it and see if it works without changes.
