—I open the PC and turn it on as I've done this for 20 years. -I see my name and email on the screen, plus a password field. -WTF! -I attempt to proceed without entering a password, but it fails. -I enter my Google password because it appeared above my email, obviously wrong. -Now I'm stuck; locked out of my own computer and have to fix it. Anyone has any ideas? It's odd how Microsoft recognizes my real name. I've never used my true name online or even offline, always using a fake one. I run SpyBot Antibeacon to block Microsoft IPs and also donotspy10. I also removed most apps, including the Windows app store.

You likely logged in with your Microsoft account. If you can't recall the password, reset it on a different device.

Contact Microsoft via phone or online chat to inquire about lifting the issue. It’s worth noting that this situation feels unsettling, so you might want to be cautious.

I experienced a similar issue when logging into the Xbox app. Do you have Xbox Live or Skype access? Any recent accounts you've joined?

If someone received access to the computer, it could occur through physical or remote means. Windows doesn’t automatically create a password for your account; it depends on actions taken or infections involved.
