Recently I uploaded that video, but the quality isn’t great. Afterward, my voice sounded worse, yet it improved. Is this typical? Comparing to other videos makes it clearer. What’s going on?

What type of compressor are you employing? Does the unprocessed raw footage appear satisfactory given what you expect?

The second clip has been improved, GTA V doesn't look overly compressed, and the second version probably wasn't as heavily compressed initially before reprocessing through the YouTube compression tool again.

Use a higher bit rate when rendering or exporting, as this applies to YouTube compression.

It requires effort, and you should practice more for your pronunciation. Your speech patterns will become more distinct in the video. Currently, you face challenges with speaking clearly because words get cut off before completion. Many people use filters to make their videos appear brighter.

Handbreak Quality measured 10 on a scale equivalent to placebo quality, using H.264 level 5.0 video. The file was optimized for the web.

Sure, for rendering with Sony Vegas, you typically aim for a bit rate around 8-12 Mbps depending on the resolution and complexity.

Youtube tends to degrade both audio and video quality when compressing files. To preserve clarity, record at the maximum possible bitrate before uploading. For 4K at 60fps, aim for around 68 Mbps. With 5.1 surround sound, use 512 kbps.

It's clearly not just compression. I applied identical settings to compress a GTA V clip at 768p, and it performed significantly better than yours.

@lovingGamer 1 - I use a specific tool for recording, rendering, and I set my render preferences carefully.
