Textures in GTA 5 seem to vanish and cause frequent loading issues. Despite having around 0.6GB of VRAM left on my card, which shouldn’t be an issue, it’s still using a significant amount. My system has 12GB RAM, but only about 2GB is actively used. I’m running a Radeon HD 7850 with a quad-core CPU, which should support the game. However, this keeps happening, and I’m concerned it might affect performance.

It seems the GPU might be the issue.

The game runs smoothly at 60 frames per second, yet it still experiences pop-ins and disappearing effects.

Check the configurations—ensure they stay within your VRAM limits. Two gigabytes is just enough these days.

Check your Steam cache. It caused launch issues for some users but should be resolved now unless there’s a system problem.

Pop-ups might stem from a sluggish HDD, yet vanishing items are likely due to the GPU or outdated drivers.

Do you have the game installed on your SSD or mechanical storage devices?

It's operating smoothly from my NAS with 600MB/s read and write speeds over a 10Gb link. I've been running normally today; my VRAM usage remains within limits, with roughly 0.6GB still available on the card.
