I recently switched from a 1050ti to a 3070ti, but the experience hasn't been smooth. Games often crash after just a few minutes, and temperatures stay below 70 degrees. It might be related to the power supply since I have a 750w PSU. Another possibility is that the games I downloaded before were better on the older system.

It might seem like a basic driver problem, but it could also point to a ram speed issue or even a power supply limitation. I’m curious to find out what kind of PSU you actually have.

I own a 750w gold rated seasonic psu, specifically a gx 750. Assassins Creed Origins performs excellently. I also saved the game drivers from nvidia right after setting up the card.

It means the system is completely shut down, and the power supply unit has failed.

So far, which games stopped working? Because you mentioned the new downloads are fine, just remove the problematic ones and reinstall. (Actually, it shouldn't be an issue.) Have you tried troubleshooting the drivers?

The power supply seems capable of handling the job, though I can’t rule out some issues with crashes on certain engines or games. It’s possible it’s similar to some early AMD400 series GPUs that were recalled for power spikes, but I don’t think this is the case here. My assessment wouldn’t point to the PSU as the issue. Consider reducing RAM clock speed and checking for any overclocking on the 3070ti, as that’s caused problems in other systems. If the problem persists, it might be beyond my skill level. Good luck!

Only crashes occur, I'm having issues with Overwatch, Grounded, and Assassins Creed Origins. The PC won't shut down—only the games stop working.

No, you don't check in BIOS for the GPU OC.

It’s very likely, over 95%, it’s not a PSU problem. The method involves deleting all current drivers and putting the PC into a basic state so any remnants from old drivers don’t interfere.
