Looking for ways to boost your PC’s upload speed? I shared the speedtest results from the same area, with the phone close to the router’s Wi-Fi signal. Just one device runs the test at a time.

That’s surprisingly slow considering you have 158 on your phone and just 3 on your PC. Are you connected via a wired link on the computer? That’s unusual.

Choose a plan with faster internet speeds. What is your current speed claim? I noticed the advertised upload rate is just 3mbps—did you think it was for the phone? Upgrading the Wi-Fi card or adjusting the antenna position could help. Which adapter are you using now?

The variation lies in the phone's stronger signal. The PC's transmitter appears significantly weaker. If you connect another device to the router via Wi-Fi, you can verify file transfers. Upgrading to a different Wi-Fi card or switching to Ethernet would likely boost your PC's upload speed.

Is there an option to slow down the connection?

Seek a method to link with Ethernet briefly for a short time to confirm the problem persists. Otherwise, the concern lies with the Wi-Fi connection.

it's connected via wifi. the unit that came with the motherboard msi x570 meg ace includes an intel® wi-fi 6 ax200 160mhz module. placing the cables in the room can be tricky unless you leave them on the floor. the wi-fi is included with the motherboard. i have another pc, but I'm unsure about transferring files over the local network. i'll look it up later. getting the cables around is difficult. i followed your advice, and here are the outcomes using the cable spread across the floor and a powerline adapter. the powerline signal is weaker due to poor wiring behind the wall cabinets.

I just ran a speed test on another computer and my phone nearby. The computer is still lagging compared to the phone, but the upload speed is faster than what I get from my room's PC.

there’s nothing obstructing the wifi signal, it stays attached to the wall. I suspect the issue isn’t with the network itself—maybe there’s a problem with my computer settings. Even when using an ethernet cable, the upload speed remains very low at 9.1mbps.
